Senior Constable Ben Stewart was going
to become Sergeant at the Mt. Thomas Police Station.
He was convinced of it, his colleagues were convinced of it.
The interview process was merely a formality... or so they all thought.
No one bargained for a brash young
Senior Constable stationed at Shepparton, to walk in and snatch the job right out from
under Ben's nose.
Ben had even eyed off Tess Gallagher in the canteen while waiting for the interview.
The attraction was instant.
Then she walked in the door of the Station as his superior officer.
Now they have to put whatever animosities they had towards each other aside, and
get on with life.
